The Information Marketing Association will take your article, special reports, audio interviews and product chapters and distribute them to all our members to use in their newsletters, ezines, products and as special reports for their members. This is a huge, new source of potential customers for your business, at no cost.
One of the most difficult tasks for an information marketer is developing the next piece of content to keep their customers coming back for more. Whether they are looking for newsletter articles, new product content, audio interviews or free reports to add pizzazz to an existing offer, info-marketers are constantly looking for information to provide to their members.
That’s where you come in. You are welcome to submit written articles, audio interview files, books, manuals and free reports for other info marketers to use with their groups. All use must be attributed with name, company, website and phone number so that you recognition. This way you are presented as the expert to an info-marketer’s customers, you get the opportunity to obtain new customers and it’s completely free. A benefit of your IMA membership.
This gives you a terrific way to recycle content you have already used with your customers into something that will generate new customers for your business. You should look through your archives for special reports, ezine articles, newsletter articles and book chapters that can be reused by others to send you customers.
Information marketers have been working for years to develop a list of customers that are buy products to improve themselves. There is no better place for your articles and content to appear than with information marketer customers. Sure, you could write for an association newsletter. However, because those lists are not very responsive, it could take dozens of article placements to generate any customers.
Through the IMA, you get access to lists that have been created through years of the best marketing techniques available. When you present your message to those customers, you can expect a terrific return on investment.
Here are some things you should consider before you submit content:
1. We are looking for articles, book chapters, special reports, audio transcripts and in rare cases, audio interviews in MP3 format.
2. You are welcome to submit multiple items.
3. You are welcome to theme your submissions to back to school, Labor Day, or even Halloween. Given the production schedules of newsletters and this CD, do not theme your article to holidays or events before August 1st.
4. Your chances for submission are highest if you article provides valuable content that an info-marketer is proud to pass along to his members. If your article is nothing but a pitch for your company, it is unlikely that an info-marketer will use the content.
5. Each content item should have a title, author byline at the beginning.
6. Each content item may have a summary at the end that includes the author, a brief credibility statement, a special offer, website address, phone and email address. This information is optional, but should not exceed 3 brief sentences. Anything longer may be edited down for space.
7. Your message should be directed towards an info-marketing customer. These can be business people or consumers so feel free to include multiple pieces.
8. Your message will be more useful if it is targeted to a generic business market rather than a specific niche. There are hundreds of info-marketers selling to businesses while there are only 3 IMA members selling to auto repair. Therefore, even if your main product is auto repair, you will get more distribution if you tailor your message to all businesses.
9. To ensure delivery, put your content on a CD ROM and send it to Kristin Muire, 335 Beard Street, Tallahassee, FL 32303. Within your package include your name, company, address, phone and email address.
10. Submit a sheet of paper that includes the file name, a title and 3 sentence descriptions for each of your submissions. This title and description will be circulated to our members with the content CD.
11. When Kristin Muire receives your package, she will transfer your content to the archive, open each tile to ensure it works and send you an email to let you know it came through. Please provide an email address for this confirmation in your package.
12. The deadline for submissions is June 2, 2006 at 4:00 PM. The content will be consolidated, a directory printed and CDs distributed to all IMA members by the end of June.
13. The IMA will pass along the submissions we receive to our members without editing or selections. The IMA cannot guarantee or control whether or if any individual IMA member uses the content. The better content you provide, the better the opportunity for selection.
14. Where it makes sense, IMA members are encouraged to contact you to create a joint venture agreement for increased exposure and promotion. In fact, this is a great way to let info-marketers know that you have joint venture programs available.
