Robert William was bored
By Robert Skrob | March 30, 2008
I was the Robert William entertainment committee today. He wanted to go geocaching.
Geocaching is a sport where you use a portable GPS to find treasure hidden in the woods by other people. You first visit www.Geocaching.com, enter a zip code and identify potential caches to find. Then, you enter their latitude and longitude into your GPS and set out to find them.
We’ve done this off and on over the years and haven’t been able to for several months because I couldn’t find my GPS unit since our move. However, Kory found it a few weeks ago and Robert’s been inching to go ever since.
It wouldn’t have been too bad except my foot still hurts from falling into my empty pool on Thursday night. My foot is fine except when I walk on it. Then, it really hurts. But because Robert William was bored I had to suck it up.
We found 5 caches in a couple of hours. I chose some that were close to home. The nicest part of geocaching is it takes you places you’d rarely go under normal circumstances. Here are a few photos of Robert filling out the log books at the caches. If you are a geocacher yourself feel free to look me up, my user id is: rskrob.
Have a good week, I’m about to go outside and enjoy a Partagas cigar.
